South Redondo Beach has some fantastic ocean front condo complexes at prices more affordable than you might think. Located
along the world famous Esplanade, The Surfrider building is located at 565 Esplanade and sits just above the sand. The buildings are close to King Harbor, the Redondo Pier area, the shopping and dining of Riviera Village and literally steps to the beach. The building is hard to miss with it’s striking red and white exterior.

The Surfrider features a variety of one to two bedrooms condos with the majority of the condos being one bedroom units generally around 700-800 square feet. Two bedroom units are much larger as range between anywhere from 1,050 to 1,427 square feet. Built in 1971, there are 64 units with the majority having “partial” ocean views. Most are interior or rear facing so oceanfront units are rare….but stunning. The building has recently had extensive work to the balconies and exterior.

HOA dues are generally around $450 as of 2021 and the complex offers an oceanfront spa but no pool.
