Very Few Homes for Sale in El Segundo To Start 2020

It’s certainly a good time to celebrate the new year, but not necessarily if you’re looking to buy a home in El Segundo CA.  We are seeing historically low numbers of homes for sale in this small coastal community.

As of January 1st,  there are only 7 active homes for sale in El Segundo.  Compare this with last December with 27 homes on the market and you get a pretty idea just how little is for sale.  This is the lowest number of homes for sale in the past 7 years which is pretty amazing given that it’s such a great time to sell.  Hopefully we’ll see a change in 2020!

Here’s a chart of the last 14 months showing just how low the inventory has dropped in the El Segundo real estate market.  

The light green bar shows the “active” for sale listings…..hard not to notice how low it is compared with a year ago.
