El Segundo is pretty ideally located near just about everything. The city has Dockweiler Beach which is a beautiful stretch of sand and unlike nearby Hermosa and Manhattan, Dockweiler offers some unique elements….there is one stretch of beach that has on sit firepits making for a series of bonfires (and a party atmosphere) on summer nights and also has RV parking allowing for a much larger access. While Manhattan and Hermosa have homes on the beach, El Segundo does not making it much more accessible. Exercise enthusiasts can enjoy the Marvin Braude bikepath that extends from Palos Verdes up to Santa Monica and the beach even offers hangliding. Shopping and dining options are everywhere and in addition to the Main Street downtown area a number of higher end shopping centers have recently opened including The Pointe.
