Nostalgic Manhattan Beach Charm at 124 8th Street in Manhattan

While it’s clear that most original Manhattan Beach bungalows end up selling for land value so that another mansion can be built…..some just have more charm and that certainly appeals to some buyers.  124 8th Street is definitely one of those homes.  It’s not huge with only 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and 1,760 square feet, but the look and feel is straight out of Coastal Living Magazine and definitely transports you back to slower days.  The home was built in 1909 and has clearly been well maintained and loved over the years.  Everything about it exudes original beach charm and the location is just about perfect….steps to the beach and downtown Manhattan.  It sits on a 2,700 foot lot on a great south Manhattan walkstreet.  It’s price of $5,199,000 is likely going to be a challenge and this home will most likely be sold for the lot, but we sure hope someone that loves the look and feel of original Manhattan Beach keeps it just the way it is.

Redondo Beach Real Estate Market – April Home Sales at a Glance

Welcome to the real estate recap for Redondo Beach in April 2021.   It was another really strong month for both home sales and home prices in Redondo.  There were 94 properties that sold in Redondo Beach with another 102 going into escrow.  Active homes for sale in Redondo Beach continued to decline as new listings just can’t keep up with the demand.  The median sold price for the month was $1,292,000 which was up slightly from a year earlier.  Take a look at the homes that sold in Redondo Beach during the month or take a look at  how April compared with other months on our Redondo Beach real estate trends and statistics page.
