Home Sales WAY Down in the South Bay in January 2023

See all of the homes that sold in the South Bay and Palos Verdes in January 2023

The real estate market in the South Bay was definitely slow in January which wasn’t much of a surprise……..but how slow was definitely aOceanview condos in The Village Redondo Beach surprise.  In the cites that we track every month there were 143 homes sales compared with 244 in January of 2022.  Compare that with the high of the past 12 months which was 418 back in April 2022 and you can really see just how slow it was.

Prices were solid once again although it’s now the norm to see the average price of the homes that sold at or below the asking price which is a big change from the past 18 months.     View our South Bay real estate trends and statistics page to see how  home sales and home prices in January 2023 compared to other months.

The annual Riviera Village holiday stroll was supposed to happen December 1st but  due to bad weather (who knew that bad weather was even a possibility around here?) it was postponed until this evening 12/8 .  This is always a great event as it really brings the community together and is such a fun time for kids and adults alike.  Catalina is blocked off for cars so it’s a vibe unlike any other time of year in the Village.
