Originally listed at $22,900,000 in 2016 the home had a number of realtors and a number of price reductions from $22,900,000 to $21,000,000 to $18,950,000 a year ago to $16,900,000 then finally $15,900,000. The home closed on 11/5 for $14,250,000. The home was built in 2007 and featured 5 bedrooms, 6 baths and approximately 5,642 sq feet.

Built in 2012, the home was always a topic of discussion as it was a custom build with some very unusual architecture and interiors that really stuck out from the beach homes surrounding it.  Originally painted in a reddish hue it was designed as an Italian villa but definitely looked like it would fit in more along the canals of Venice than along the beach.  They’ve just recently toned it down a bit and replaced the red paint with a more clean and beachy white although it’s still very ornate for the beach.  The home features 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.

Listed at $18,995,000 the home was on the market back in 2017 for a fairly staggering $25,000,000. While the future buyer will likely do a major remodel and update, there is great opportunity given the size of the home and lot and the north Hermosa location is absolutely ideal.

We love classic beach homes and unfortunately there are fewer of them all the time. It’s not surprising given the home values in our area, but

we do still wish more of the original and classic homes could remain intact. The home at 3033 The Strand in Hermosa Beach just recently went into escrow and although needing a lot of work, this beachfront home definitely had that original beach feel that we love. Originally listed at $19,000,000 (it’s definitely not rare to see most beachfront homes dramatically overpriced) the home was listed about a year ago and then pulled off in December. Relisted in March for $14,995,000 this 1932 built beach house offers 6 bedrooms, 5 baths, a bit over 4,000 sq feet of living space on an oversized lot of almost 4,900 square feet. The 45 feet of beach frontage is what really sets this home apart. At the moment we don’t have any confirmed information on what it sold for.
