Other than the very unique hotel condo ownership siuation at The Beach House Hermosa, beachfront condos are extremely rare in Hermosa Beach.  There are only 3 real condo type buildings that are beachfront and this is one.  624 The Strand is big enough to be more than just a second home…..with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and almost 1,400 square feet there are a lot of options.  It’s not bad living right at the beach!  The complex was built in 1976 but as with most of the units this one has been extensively updated over the years.  The condo was listed at $4,900,000 in 2021 but didn’t sell.

2220 Monterey Hits the Market in Hermosa Beach

One of the newer listings to hit the market recently in the sand section of Hermosa Beach is a spacious home on a highly desirable lot.  We’ve been watching the slow remodel of this home for years now and it’s finally ready for the market.  The home is pretty ideally located just a block to the beach and a very short distance from both the Hermosa Pier plaza area and downtown Manhattan Beach.    While there is a rooftop deck with panoramic views the views from inside the home are surprisingly limited given the location.

The home has been nicely remodeled and updated and has a lot to offer the discerning buyer.  While it’s somewhat hard to envision the home was pretty much completely reimagined from it’s original Spanish style exterior and fairly dark and formal interior spaces.  The owners have done a very nice job in giving it a fresh, bright and open interior.  The home last sold in 2013 for $3,125,000.

Hermosa Sand Section SFR New Construction Closes at $6,135,000

The new construction home market in Hermosa Beach is alive and well that’s for sure.  One of the most recent sales of new construction in the sand section was a 4 bedroom 5 bath SFR that just closed escrow at an impressive $6,135,000.  That would certainly not been the price a year earlier but it does show just how quickly the market has moved up for new construction ocean view homes in this highly sought after neighborhood.  The home offered some nice southwest views of the ocean, Catallina and PV but not much of a view straight west.

Located in the north sand section of Hermosa it was just 2 short blocks to the beach and steps to the very popular Valley Park.  It’s also steps to the new Hermosa Vista School which is both a positive and a negative.

The top home sales of the month in Hermosa Beach was a newer construction resale single family home located at 2457 Myrtle that closed, off market, at $6,100,000.     The home was a beautiful newer single family home in one of the premier neighborhoods in the Hermosa Beach sand section.  Just a few blocks from the beach and equidistant to both Hermosa and Manhattan pier areas, this luxury property enjoyed fabulous ocean views.  Built in 2019 and sold for $5,650,000 in October of 2020.
