Hitting the market in early 2022 is the newest beachfront home listing (there are quite a few!) located at 2654 The Strand in north Hermosa Beach sand section.  The location is just about perfect and sits near the middle between the Hermosa Beach pier and the Manhattan Beach pier.  Built in 1934 this is one of the remaining original beach bungalows and takes you back to the old days of classic Hermosa Beach.

Unlike some of the originals, however, this home offers some great square footage.  This beachfront home offers 4 bedrooms in a 3,180 square foot (buyer to verify) square feet.  The home still has some of it’s original charm but has been updated and remodeled to feel relatively modern once inside.

Homes of note…..one of the homes that sold in Hermosa Beach CA during October was a very rare 3 bedroom beachfont condo located at 634 The Strand.

This 3 bedroom condo had been on the month for quite some time (almost a year) which isn’t a rarity for beachfront properties in Hermosa or on the Manhattan Beach Strand.  Homes just tend to sit for a while as prices are possible for most buyers.  The home was originally listed for $4,900,000 back in December of 2021 so needless to say the sellers most definitely took a hit on the original price.

The neighboring unit #638 sold off-market in April 2021 for $4,991,500 so $3,950,00 for this condo was a great deal.

The latest South Bay oceanfront home to grace the market happens to be in the northern end of the Hermosa Beach sand section.  The home is only a block from Manhattan Beach in the section of the Strand in which lots are much smaller than in other areas.  The home itself has a nice beachy feel to it and, needless to say, the views are tough to beach.  The north end of Hermosa is always highly sought after but we think that the price is on the higher end for a lot that’s only 1,658 square feet.  Having said that they maximized square footage and the home has almost 2,300 square feet on three levels.

Other than the very unique hotel condo ownership siuation at The Beach House Hermosa, beachfront condos are extremely rare in Hermosa Beach.  There are only 3 real condo type buildings that are beachfront and this is one.  624 The Strand is big enough to be more than just a second home…..with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and almost 1,400 square feet there are a lot of options.  It’s not bad living right at the beach!  The complex was built in 1976 but as with most of the units this one has been extensively updated over the years.  The condo was listed at $4,900,000 in 2021 but didn’t sell.
