Even in the high end market of Manhattan Beach real estate we don’t see homes in this price range. The latest addition to the beachfront Manhattan Beach Strand market is a record listing price of $30,000,000 for 3216 The Strand. This luxury property offers an extremely spacious 7,454 square feet (buyer to
verify) with 4 levels of which 3 offer staggering and unblockable beach and ocean views.
More like a ultra luxury boutique hotel than a single family residence the home features walls of glass doors and windows with dark wood accents framing the incredible views. Designed by KAA and built by Matt Morris Development in 2013 the home offers the highest end living for the ultimate beachfront buyer.
The top level featres the primary living spaces….the height above The Strand making for a private retreat from the passers by. The entry level features the incredible primary suite and the majority of the suites. The Strand level “beach” room offers perhaps the coolest bar we’ve ever seen in a private home in Manhattan Beach along with legitimate home gym and fitness area. Below ground features a roomy home theatre, smaller living area, wine cellar and tasting room.

off the market for years. 425 Paseo De La Playa was an “estate” style property from the gated entrance, long driveway, outbuildings and more. It was also a bit of a fixer as some of the projects and updates hadn’t been completed. The home was originally listed in 2019 for $10,000,000, pulled off of the market and brought back out in 2020 for an increased price (?) of $12,000,000. The lot is unbelivable and extended all the way down to the sand. Unlike
Beach is a vintage original beach bungalow built in 1938. It’s very likely that this one get’s torn down and replaced with a modern luxury home but we’re always suckers for these original and classic beach homes. The current property offers 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and 1984 square feet and is priced at $6,499,000.
is that inventory just keeps going down. July of 2020 saw 134 active homes for sale while July 2021 only offered 64 and that dropped even further in August.
built…..some just have more charm and that certainly appeals to some buyers. 124 8th Street is definitely one of those homes. It’s not huge with only 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and 1,760 square feet, but the look and feel is straight out of Coastal Living Magazine and definitely transports you back to slower days. The home was built in 1909 and has clearly been well maintained and loved over the years. Everything about it exudes original beach charm and the location is just about perfect….steps to the beach and downtown Manhattan. It sits on a 2,700 foot lot on a great south Manhattan walkstreet. It’s price of $5,199,000 is likely going to be a challenge and this home will most likely be sold for the lot, but we sure hope someone that loves the look and feel of original Manhattan Beach keeps it just the way it is.
