The latest South Bay oceanfront home to grace the market happens to be in the northern end of the Hermosa Beach sand section.  The home is only a block from Manhattan Beach in the section of the Strand in which lots are much smaller than in other areas.  The home itself has a nice beachy feel to it and, needless to say, the views are tough to beach.  The north end of Hermosa is always highly sought after but we think that the price is on the higher end for a lot that’s only 1,658 square feet.  Having said that they maximized square footage and the home has almost 2,300 square feet on three levels.

One of the more notable sales we wanted to mention was an oceanfront single family that just recently sold in the Hollywood Riviera.
Without question, the homes on the west side of Paseo De La Playa are unlike anything in all of the South Bay and Southern California.  The homes ofpaseo de la playafer unblockable panoramic views from Catalina to Malibu and unlike some other beachfront homes they have incredible coastline views meaning evening and night views are spectacular as well.   The oceanfront lots are huge…..extending all the way to the beach.  The homes have privacy that’s impossible along the Esplanade or the Strand in Hermosa and Manhattan and its not nearly as far out as some of the oceanfront homes in Palos Verdes.

The top home sale of April in Redondo Beach was a massive single family ocean view home located at 803 N Paulina in south Redondo 90277.  This luxury property featured  6,066 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 7 total baths.  The location allowed for some nice ocean views from both the 3 level home itself as well as from the resort style pool deck.

The home was listed at $3,995,000 and sold for a jaw dropping $4,625,000.  $630,000 over the asking price!

One of the newer listings to hit the market recently in the sand section of Hermosa Beach is a spacious home on a highly desirable lot.  We’ve been watching the slow remodel of this home for years now and it’s finally ready for the market.  The home is pretty ideally located just a block to the beach and a very short distance from both the Hermosa Pier plaza area and downtown Manhattan Beach.    While there is a rooftop deck with panoramic views the views from inside the home are surprisingly limited given the location.

The home has been nicely remodeled and updated and has a lot to offer the discerning buyer.  While it’s somewhat hard to envision the home was pretty much completely reimagined from it’s original Spanish style exterior and fairly dark and formal interior spaces.  The owners have done a very nice job in giving it a fresh, bright and open interior.  The home last sold in 2013 for $3,125,000.
