Torrance Real Estate Market Recap for March 2024

If March is any indication……the real estate market in Torrance CA is alive and well…..that’s for sure.  Talk of a slow housing market due toFusion South Bay J floorplan 3 bedroom home the high interest rates was a bit off of the target. March 2024 was a great month for home sales in Torrance no matter what info you’re looking at . Sales  picked up considerably with 89 closed escrows in Torrance during March.  Compare that to 69 closed escrows in February and a very slow January with only  48 sold homes.

Torrance home prices were equally impressive.

The average “asking” price  was $1,104,915 with the average sold price at an impressive $1,132,878 compared to $993,758 in February and $1,012,480 in January.

The average dollar per square foot for the homes that sold in March was $749 which was a significant jump from $692 in February.   Homes that sold averaged a very short 21 days on market before going into escrow.  That was quite a bit shorter than some neighboring cities.

August 2023 Property Sales and Home Prices in the South BayHollywood Rivera yards

The South Bay, Beach Cities and Palos Verdes real estate market in August 2023 was extremely impressive once again both in terms of the number of homes that sold and the prices they sold for were generally on the rise.  The higher interest rates haven’t seemed to slow the market whatsoever.  Most cities saw slightly fewer sales but others like Manhattan Beach and El Segundo saw much higher numbers of sold homes.
