Welcome to the real estate recap for Redondo Beach in April 2021. It was another really strong month for both home sales and home prices in Redondo. There were 94 properties that sold in Redondo Beach with another 102 going into escrow. Active homes for sale in Redondo Beach continued to decline as new listings just can’t keep up with the demand. The median sold price for the month was $1,292,000 which was up slightly from a year earlier. One Crazy Market – Smaller B Unit in Fusion South Bay Lists at a Whopping $815,000
We’ve been posting a lot lately with new listings priced at numbers that would have seemed laughable not long ago. The newest and only
active listing in Fusion is definitely another sign that the market is officially crazy.
5507 149th Pl # 8 in Fusion South Bay is one of the smallest floorplans offered in Fusion and is a B condo with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and approximately 1,030 square feet. It’s arguably the nicest remodel we’ve ever seen in the community and it looks brand new and doesn’t look like any of the original offerings. Having said that this is dramatically higher list price than anything we’re aware of. The previous highest sale for an A or B floorplan was $740,000 back in Februrary. As A and B units generally sell at similar prices, is it possible that this newest listing could sell for almost $75,000 more than the last one? The market is certainly crazy, there are no other active listings and the remodel is beautiful so this will be a good one to keep tabs on to see if the market is really this frenzied.
