Still No Open Houses in LA County

May 14, 2021 by admin

On Wednesday, May 12th, the California Department of Public Health posted updated guidance on showings and open houses to their website, allowing in-person open houses in many jurisdictions. However, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has NOT yet updated their guidance to allow in-person open houses.

This means that in-person open houses are NOT allowed in Los Angeles County until the county guidance which supersedes state guidance, is updated to reflect this change.

We will notify you of any updates.

SBAOR, along with other local civic and trade organizations, are in constant communication with the county and are working hard to get county guidance updated to come in line with the state’s May 12th update allowing open houses. While we anticipate that changes will be made soon, no changes have yet been made at the county level to allow open houses.

Home Of the Week – Oceanfront Estate on Paseo De La Playa in the Hollywood Riviera

Welcome to the 2020 real estate recap for the city of Torrance CA. It was an incredible year for real estate and home sales in city of Torrance CA in terms of both the number of homes that sold and the home prices themselves.   Here’s just a quick recap of some key numbers.  There were 1144 on market home sales during 2020 compared with 1204 in 2019.  The median sales price was an impressive $835,000.  Homes averaged a very brief 24 days on market and the average price per foot was only $533.  For more detailed month by month stats see our Torrance real estate market trends and statistics page.
